Blogtober 2017 – Day 4

I came across Beauty and The Bookshelves Autumn Tag, it was such a pleasure to read so I’ve taken her up on the offer to do the tag myself. Thank you Hollie.

1.) Flannels or Jumpers?
Jumpers. There’re back in fashion around this time of year plus they keep you warm.

2.) Fairylights or Candles?

I’m a candle junki. I have them all over my home. There’s something about candle light that feels and looks so much better than a lightbulb. The flicker and the warmth bring a sense of tranquility into my home.

3.) What’s you’re favourite Halloween Movie?

The Nightmare before Christmas is a favourite of mine! I watch it at Halloween and Christmas. I know it word for word.

4.) Are you a pumpkin spiced junkie?

No, I’ve never tasted it.

5.) Hot Chocolate or Tea?

Hot chocolate. I’ve recently started a tradition, I get a hot chocolate from Costa on my way home.

6.) Rain or Fog?

Fog. I don’t get on with rain unless I’m indoors. Cold wet clothes are so uncomfortable.

7.) Do you decorate your home for autumn?

Not really. My choice in candle scents change, from bright and floral to more deep earthy scents.

8.) Favourite Vampire?

Selene from Underworld. I have watched all 5 films. She knows how to kick ass!

9.) Do you have any traditions for autumn?

No I don’t but it would be nice to see what other people say to this question.

10.) What’s your favourite fall colour?

It has to be orange. It’s all about the Pumpkin!

11.) Do you like horror movies?

I do, but I can’t watch them alone.

12.) What’s your favourite autumn scented candle?

Yankee candle Autumn Glow. It smells of Sparkling Citrus, Autum blossom, Patchouli and Golden Amber. It’s like a walk through a Autumn forest.

13.) Halloween or Thankgiving?

I host a yearly Halloween party, it’s great fun seeing what costumes the kids come up with. You get to carve pumpkins and go Trick or Treating. You know you love it.

14.) What’s you’re favourite thing about autumn?

That smell in the air! The dead leaves, fires and homemade cooking. Autumn smells amazing.

15.) Favourite -ber month?

December, Christmas is a magical time that I cherish with Connor. It will always be my favourite.

16.) Do you prefer autumn or winter? Why?

Winter. It’s all about Christmas! The displays, songs, food, snow and don’t forget the Christmas lights. It’s just magical.

17.) What’s your Halloween costume dream?

Leeloo, from Fifth Element. I’m in love with her hair and she’s a bad ass!

18.) Favourite witch?

That would definitely have to be Sabrina the Teenage Witch.

19.) Where would you like to spend your Halloween?

An escape room. You basically get locked in a themed room e.g. Saw and you have to find your way out with clues. It’s quite scary.

20.) Scarf or hat?

Scarfs. They go with any outfit.

21.) Favourite tree?

Christmas tree! It’s all about the decorations, it’s a beautiful sight.

22.) What’s your dream place to visit during autumn?

Matlock illuminations, which is a display of lights and fireworks. It’s perfect for families. I plan on taking Connor this year.

23.) Vampires or Zombie?

Vampires, as zombies eat brains and I just can’t deal with that.

24.) Which songs do you listen to in autumn?

Christmas songs! I’m not ashamed to admit that I start listening to them from the beginning of september.

25.) Bats or Spiders?

Bats, I have arachnophobia.

26.) A walk in the woods or a walk in the mall?

A walk in the woods, because of the fauna, plants and animals.

27.) What’s your favourite autumn food?

Pecan plaits and Cinnamon swirls.

28.) Name a book that makes you think of autumn.

I haven’t come across one yet, if you have any recommendations please let me know in the comments.

29.) Halloween party or Halloween movie marathon?

Halloween Party! I love to plan and host my own.

30.) Favourite item of clothing for Autumn?

My coat, it keeps me warm on those really cold days.

This tag is great fun. I hope you want to do it too, please tag me so I can read your answers. 🙂

  1. Hot chocolate is one of my favourite thing about this time of year – especially from Costa! I love jumpers too – just bought myself some super cosy ones and so excited to wear them! 😍 Great post!
