Blogtober 2017 – Day 1

I’ve decided to take part in the Blogtober challenge, which means I’ll be blogging everyday of the month. It’s going to be a challenge but I’ll try and keep up!

I don’t think listing facts about myself would be an interesting read, so I thought I’d give you an insight into my life by sharing 3 things I enjoy doing by myself.

One of my favourite things I love doing is dancing! I dance in my living room, hallway, shower and kitchen! I’ll dance to anything. I’ve loved dancing since I was a little girl. I remember my neighbor Susan, she encouraged me to dance. She would come over, put the radio on and then she would start to teach me a new dance routine. I thought the world of her. Dancing is a passion of mine and I’d like to think I’m a contemporary dancer who loves rhythm. I studied Contemporary Theate & Performance at University for 3 years and I loved being able to express myself through movement. My final project was the best piece of work I have ever done. I’ll tell you about that someday. I feel as though dance is my calling and I continue to thrive in it daily. If I’m stressed I’ll put music on and I’ll dance away my worries. I might be ‘plus size’ but it doesn’t restict me from doing something I love.

My second favourite thing i like to do is have a candle lit bath. My favourite scent of a candle is black coconut. I’ve only found this particular scent in a Yankee Candle, which I purchase from Thorntons. I prefer baths to showers because I am able to just relax alone. Alone time is a rare thing since I became a mother 2 odd years ago. I cherish my bath times. My goto bath time treat is often a seasonal bath bomb from Lush. At the moment it’s currently Cheer Up Buttercup, basically it does what it says. It’s smells of lemon and lime. It has these little purple flowers that float in the bath. It’s quite refreshing.

The third thing I really enjoy is walking. Especially where there is beautiful scenery, such as a local town called Oakwood. There’s lots of greenery with cattle, streams and broken trees. I often take artistic photos when I’m out and about. I find walking is peaceful and it helps me to centre myself.

So there you have it!

I hope this post has given you an insight into my life. What do you like doing in your free time? I’d love to hear from you in the comments.
